Full-Day Muir Woods and San Francisco City Tour

This full-day tour offers the best of both worlds: a serene morning among towering redwoods and a lively afternoon exploring the iconic sights of San Francisco. We customize the route based on your preferences and tour length, ensuring a perfect day for your group. Depart from Fisherman’s Wharf at Umbrella Alley or upgrade for hotel pickup.

Tour Itinerary

• Morning: Muir Woods & Marin County

  • Start with a drive over the Golden Gate Bridge into beautiful Marin County.
  • Explore the towering redwoods at Muir Woods National Monument. This portion is self-guided, with 45 minutes to 1 hour to wander through the majestic forest.
  • Make a quick stop at Muir Beach Overlook for breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. On clear days, you can even see the Farallon Islands in the distance.

• Lunch: Sausalito

  • Stop for an early lunch in the charming bayside town of Sausalito. You’ll have around an hour to explore and dine at one of the town’s excellent restaurants (lunch cost not included). Your guide will be happy to provide recommendations.

• Afternoon: San Francisco City Tour

  • After lunch, enjoy a three-hour San Francisco city tour covering many of the city’s iconic landmarks, including:
    • Fisherman’s Wharf
    • Union Square
    • Presidio
    • Golden Gate Park
    • Chinatown
    • Lombard Street (traffic permitting)
    • Coit Tower
    • North Beach (Little Italy)
  • Stop at the Golden Gate Bridge overlook for incredible photo opportunities before returning to Umbrella Alley at the end of your tour.

• 7.5-Hour Tour: Add an extra half-hour for additional time at the Golden Gate Bridge, Muir Woods, or another stop such as Muir Beach.
• 8-Hour Tour: Add an extra hour for more time in Muir Woods, extended visits at the Golden Gate Bridge, Sausalito, or the option to visit additional San Francisco attractions.

  Beat the ticket line at the park and purchase adult admission tickets in advance.  $15.00 per person ages 16 and up. Age 15 and under free admission.

Start Location:

• 757 Beach Street, San Francisco, CA 94109 – Tours depart from Umbrella Alley in Fisherman’s Wharf (cross street: Hyde St). Look for the Wells Fargo ATM at the entrance to the driveway.

Know Before You Book:

• Tours are conducted in English.
• Each Jeep accommodates up to five adults. Six guests are allowed if the group includes children.
• Tours are fully refundable if canceled at least 24 hours in advance. No-shows will be charged in full.
• Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled tour time. Late arrivals or no-shows will forfeit their reservation without a refund or reschedule.
• Ages 3 and up are welcome, but child and booster seats are not provided.
• We cannot accommodate wheelchair, walker, luggage, or stroller storage on the Jeep.

• Bring an extra layer of warm, wind-resistant clothing.
• Avoid bringing bulky backpacks as all personal items must be stored in your lap.
